Guides - Team Leader Derran Broyles
As a volunteer on the City of Bethlehem Guides Team, you will lead guests on a guided tour through 11 authentic scenes of Bethlehem. Along the journey, you will help bring each scene to life by sharing the story and making guests feel they are truly part of the most important journey of all time — the birth of Jesus Christ. As a volunteer for the City of Bethlehem Indoor Decorations Team, you will help set up the indoor Christmas decorations throughout the Gym, Narthex, and Stage area. As a volunteer for the City of Bethlehem Music Team, you will have the opportunity to play Christmas music for our guests, helping create a festive and joyful atmosphere. As a volunteer for the City of Bethlehem Greeters Team, you will welcome guests as they enter Georgetown First United Methodist Church. You will help create a warm and friendly atmosphere, making guests feel comfortable and at home while answering any questions they may have. Throughout the evening, you will also have the opportunity to mingle and interact with guests to enhance their experience. Actors and actresses will be provided costumes and microphones. A dress rehearsal will be required to ensure proper costume fit and readiness for the event. No prior acting experience is necessary, and non-speaking roles are available. A comfortable position is available for anyone interested in participating.

As a volunteer of the City of Bethlehem Costume Team, you will help ensure all volunteers are properly outfitted for their roles, including narrators, greeters, actors, guides, and prayer team members. As a volunteer for the City of Bethlehem Outdoor Decorations Team, you will help set the stage for the entire experience by preparing and placing outdoor scene decorations. The team will set up props for each scene, arrange indoor and outdoor elements, and help spread hay, trees, and bushes throughout all designated areas.

Prayer team -
As a volunteer for the City of Bethlehem Prayer Team, you will have the opportunity to walk among our guests, offering prayer and support as needed, and providing free Bibles. You will also serve in the Gym at the replica of the Wailing Wall, assisting guests as they write down their prayers and place them into the wall.
Your role helps create a meaningful and peaceful environment where guests can reflect, pray, and experience spiritual encouragement throughout the event.

As a volunteer for the City of Bethlehem Refreshments Team, you will help provide warm refreshments to our guests throughout the event. The team will assist in organizing all food and drinks each night before the event and keep the refreshment tables stocked with cookies, desserts, hot cocoa, and cider during the evening.
You will also make rounds to other volunteer teams to offer food and drinks, helping ensure everyone is cared for throughout the night. Your role helps create a warm, welcoming, and inviting environment where guests can feel at home while enjoying refreshments and live music.

traffic - donnie davis
As a volunteer for the City of Bethlehem Traffic Team, you will help direct guests to parking in the front parking lot and guide them to available spaces and toward the entrance. You will also assist any elderly or handicapped guests who may need help getting safely to the front entrance.
Your role is to help ensure guests feel informed, safe, and welcomed as they enter and exit the parking area. The Traffic Team will be provided high-visibility reflective vests, walkie-talkies, and flashlights for use during the event.

assembly - Jason Lambirth & Ben Shields
As a volunteer for the City of Bethlehem Assembly Team, you will help set up and take down the outdoor scene sets that bring the City of Bethlehem experience to life. You will assist in transporting, assembling, and bracing sets for each of the 11 scenes, helping create the environment for guests to walk through and experience the story.
Setup will take place on Thursday and Friday during the week of the event, and teardown will occur on Sunday after lunch. No prior construction experience is required. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for volunteers. For any questions, please contact Jason Lambirth and Ben Shields.
