Children's Ministry

At Georgetown First, we care deeply about the spiritual education and training of our children.  At each child dedication or baptism,
members of the church professes personal responsibility to help bring children up in the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ.
All staff and volunteers working with children are required to complete Safer Sanctuaries training and a Background Check.
Also, as an added security measure we utilize the KidCheck system.
Below are just a few of the offerings we have for children before they reach the 6th grade:

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a fun, short-term church program—usually held during the summer—where children learn about the Bible through engaging activities like songs, crafts, games, and stories, all centered on faith, friendship, and growing in God’s love.

kid's Own Worship

Kid’s Own Worship (KOW) at 11am is an interactive worship experience for children from 3-years-old through 5th grade (rising 6th graders). All children will start out in the sanctuary and then be dismissed as a group to the gym for KOW. After the service, their respective adults should pick them up in the gym. Kids can expect a time of praise and worship, group lead lesson and then hands on activities.
Staff and volunteers working with our children are required to complete Safe Sanctuaries training.  Also, as an added security measure we utilize the KidCheck system.  Please register your children for KidCheck, and sign them in at the kiosk in the narthex every time you leave them in our care.
