Three Christmas Eve services for December 24

Candlelight services are scheduled for 5, 7 and 11pm. Pastor Greg is preaching at all three. For many years now, Georgetown First has received a special offering on Christmas Eve for outreach and mission. This year, we are splitting the offering between two global missions.

1) Guatemala 2020 Mission. A team of 12 persons from Georgetown First will spend one week in this impoverished Central American country building a simple wooden house for a needy family and caring for children at an orphanage. Pastor Greg is planning to lead the team, May 30-June 6. Your gifts will cover the cost of supplies and materials and will assist members of the team with the cost of airfare, room and board. Members of the team will also be raising money beginning in January. Catalyst Resources International is our host organization in Guatemala City. Check out the display in the narthex from our trip this past June.

2) Thailand Methodist Mission. The church in Thailand is growing rapidly and is in desperate need for a place where pastors can come to be equipped for ministry. Funding for the construction of The Abundant Life Training Center is underway. Georgetown First has an ongoing relationship with Kentucky Conference missionaries, Mike and Sherri Morrissey, who have been serving in Thailand for over a decade and direct this mission.
