Andrew Singh Is Receiving a New Appointment
Pastor Andrew Singh, who has faithfully served us as our associate pastor for seven years, will receive a new appointment from Bishop Leonard Fairley in June. The location of the church will be shared later this month. Pastor Andrew will be the church’s lead pastor.
The news was shared at the conclusion of worship in both services this morning by Jill Cudd, Chair of the Staff-Parish Relations Committee and Pastor Greg. Andrew emphasized that this was his decision, one that has been covered in prayer for several months. He is deeply grateful for the opportunity to grow and serve with our church family for many years.
Andrew’s last Sunday will be June 10. He will preach that day, and we’ll celebrate his ministry with a church-wide potluck in the fellowship hall (more details to come). In the meantime he will continue to be actively engaged in ministry with us.
Also shared at the same time was the appointment of Jeremy Arnold as our new associate pastor. Jeremy has been the Director of Youth Ministries at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Lexington for the past six years. Jeremy will graduate from Asbury Theological Seminary in May and will be licensed as a local pastor in June. He is married to Michelle. They have a three-year-old daughter and another child on the way. His wife is a veterinarian.
We encourage you to pray for Andrew and Arpita, Jeremy and Michelle and our church family during this time of transition.
“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen (Ephesians 3:20-21 NLT).
